Yes. Blossom & Buds shampoo and conditioner have passed a Cosmetic Product Safety Report (CPSR) assessment under UK Cosmetics Regulation that specifically covers use during pregnancy, as well as use on newborns from 3kg. It is free from SLS, parabens and synthetic fragrance. Most shampoos are not assessed for pregnancy at all, so if you are checking labels during pregnancy, this is the assessment worth looking for. Can shampoo help with postpartum hair loss?
No shampoo stops postpartum hair loss, and we won't claim ours does. Postpartum shedding is telogen effluvium — hair held in its growth phase during pregnancy shedding all at once. It typically peaks three to four months after birth and settles on its own within six to twelve months. What a shampoo can do is avoid making it worse. Blossom & Buds cleanses gently without stripping, keeps the scalp comfortable, and reduces the breakage that comes from washing and detangling fragile hair.
Is Blossom & Buds sulfate-free?
No, and we'd rather say so plainly. Blossom & Buds is SLS-free — it contains no Sodium Lauryl Sulfate or Sodium Laureth Sulfate. It does contain Sodium Coco-Sulfate, a coconut-derived surfactant that gives a lower-lather, less stripping wash. Naming it is better than hiding behind "sulfate-free".
Can I use the same shampoo on my baby and on myself?
Yes. Blossom & Buds is assessed for use on newborns from 3kg and for adults daily, which is why one bottle works for the whole household — pregnancy, postpartum shedding, children's fine or tangle-prone hair, and oily or flaky teenage scalps. It is tear-free, vegan and cruelty-free.

Shampoo: Sodium Coco-Sulfate cleanser with aloe vera, panthenol (pro-vitamin B5), rosemary, hydrolysed wheat protein, olive oil and glycerin.
Conditioner: shea butter, argan oil, jojoba oil, sunflower oil, keratin, aloe vera and panthenol.
