Mistletoe & Mischief is a girls' tartan Christmas dress for 2026 — part toy soldier, part party dress, and entirely unforgettable.

The bodice is worked in Black Stewart tartan beneath a red satin halter panel, laced through the back with black ribbon over a corset-style opening. Black sequinned guipure lace edges the neckline, echoed in a matching lace choker at the throat, and a red satin rosette brooch with a faceted ruby-toned drop sits at the centre front. Behind, a full red satin bow spreads across the skirt, trimmed in the same sequinned lace and pinned with a hand-beaded emerald Christmas tree.

The skirt falls into tiers of tartan taffeta over layers of red tulle, so it lifts and turns with her.

The jacket — optional

A red velvet military jacket cut to sit over the dress. Double-breasted with two rows of gilt buttons, notched tartan lapels and deep tartan turn-back cuffs, each edged in the same black sequinned guipure lace. Softly gathered at the shoulder, fitted through the waist, then released into a short flared peplum that sits neatly above the tartan skirt.
